If you want to drink safely from the stream and still enjoy the chill of stream water, check out the AquaVessel from EcoVessel. This stainless steel bottle comes with a filter integrated into the drinking straw and is double-walled designed to keep water cold all day. The lid features a silicon covered straw for ease of drinking and a loop for security. The filter is made from activated coconut shell carbon designed to remove Giardia and Cryptosporidium as well as other unsavory items from questionable water sources. Also available from EcoVessel is the Boulder, a triple walled stainless steel bottle great for hot or cold beverages. The top screws off with a large enough opening for ice or tea leaves. Drop in the fine metal strainer and keep the ice or tea out of your mouth. Once screwed back onto the bottle, the smaller top cap makes drinking from the bottle easier.
